The Press routinely receives book awards and prizes from the major academic societies that represent the areas in which it publishes. Over the past ten years, Columbia University Press has regularly had winners of the American Academy of Religion Award for Excellence in the Study of Religion, Modern Language Association prizes, PROSE awards, Choice Outstanding Academic Titles, the International Studies Association, Association for Asian Studies, and American Historical Association awards, and numerous translation prizes.
